Jerry O'Hagan and his Orchestra is a working big dance band in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area and we play for public dances every week!
Jerry leads the band and plays swing clarinet in the style of Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman. And, Jerry and the band play many of the featured numbers these two great clarinet players made famous. Charmin Michelle, who sings in the style of Billie Holliday, is the band's featured female vocalist..

New CD recording featuring Charmin Michelle with the Jerry O'Hagan Orchestra!
We have finished our new CD recording, and the product is available for sale now. The new CD is called "Dance Time Volume 1", and may be purchased from either Jerry or Charmin at one of our public performances. Pamela Espeland, who writes the local jazz column " Bebopified" has called the CD one of the ten best Twin Cities jazz CD's of 2011.
If you want to buy from a retail store,the CD is currently being sold by the Electric Fetus in Minneapolis, St. Cloud, and Duluth in Minnesota. The CD may also be purchased online from CD Baby. Big Band Scene Radio Show
Charmin and I have just recorded a radio interview with Jerry Swanberg, who is the host on a Twin Cities radio program called " Big Band Scene". This program plays on KBEM radio, 88.5 FM on your dial. Our interview airs on Sunday night, February 5 at 7:00 PM; and again on Saturday night, February 11 at 8:00 PM.
Hamline University Dance
Hamline University Dance on Friday night, February 10, 2012. We will be sharing the stage with the Hamline University Swing Band , as we did last year. The dance will be held in the Hamline Student Center Ballroom on the 2nd floor. It is open to the public, and the general admission price is $5.00. Hours are 8:00 to 11:00 PM. We are happy to be asked back again to Hamline University.
Dinner Dance for Healing Haiti
On Saturday evening, February 11, 2012, we will be playing the Sweetheart Ball for Healing Haiti at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Riverfront in St. Paul. It is open to the public. The band will play in the Great River Ballroom from 8:00 to 11:00 PM.

We will play the dance at the Cinema Ballroom on Sunday night, February 19, 2012.

St. Olaf College President's Ball
On Saturday night, April 14, 2012 we will be playing for the President's Ball at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. We have been playing this event since 1993, and are delighted to be asked back to play it again this year.
